If you are
setting up a haunted house, remember to make the walkways
wide enough for multiple people to go through at one time.
Narrow walk-throughs make for crowded, pushing conditions
that could end up with someone hurt and you liable.
Ask some friends
if they want to help out with your haunt by donning costumes
and working as "Scare-actors" for the night. have
them move about the visitors, scaring them but never
touching them.

Adding a haunted
graveyard to your haunt will really set it off! You'll need
some great tombstones, maybe a fenced in area and some
ghouls to wander around.

When doing a
charity haunted house, keep in mind that you'll need
liability insurance for the nights open. In fact, some home
owners do this for their elaborate yard haunts just in case
someone gets hurt.
If you don't want to set
up a haunt in your yard because of weather concerns, make a
garage haunt! Even a small garage can be set up into a mad
scientists workshop, a vampire's lair, a mummy's tomb. It
just takes a little planning!
